Golden oyster growkit

Meet our sun-kissed sensation, the Golden oyster mushroom, or as scientists would call it, Pleurotus citrinopileatus—a tropical wonder with a penchant for warmer climes and starring roles in your next gastronomic adventure.

Donning a warm yellow hue brighter than a summer solstice, these mushrooms are the Audrey Hepburns of the fungal world—elegant, timeless, and an absolute standout amidst a crowd. The Golden oyster doesn't hog your plate with just its stunning looks, oh no. It ups the ante with a flavor profile so complex, it makes mushroom whodunits look tame. In a world of oyster mushrooms, the Golden oyster is the intriguing page-turner.

Now, Golden oyster mushrooms are not your instant microwavable mushrooms. They're more like a carefully brewed potion of deliciousness. They take the scenic route to full bloom and usually, the show doesn't kick off until about 2 to 2.5 weeks after you've set the stage with the grow kit. But remember, as any fine mushroom connoisseur knows, the best things come to those who wait.

Nestled in the tranquil oasis of the Finnish countryside, born from the mind of mad mycologists—but the good kind of mad—is our mushroom laboratory. Here, we brew up every grow kit with a wholesome blend of sawdust, wheat bran, and water—a recipe so deceptively simple it's almost a state secret.

The packaged grow bags are then treated to a Finnish tradition—not the sauna, but the next best thing for a mushroom—a sterilization session! This deep cleanse is swiftly followed by a chill-out period, giving the bags a chance to cool their heels.

And just like playing Cupid, we introduce our locally-grown mycelium to its new home, setting them up for a fungi love story for the ages. It’s as beautiful and profound as watching real-life Finnish sunset—minus the mosquitos.

The bottom line? No hocus-pocus, no chemical wizardry—just a straightforward and organic mushroom growing experience. Simply follow the instructions—think of it as your treasure map to fungal gold—and in a few weeks, you'll be welcoming your homegrown Golden oysters. And trust me, the bragging rights are included in the kit. 🍄🌞💛

Made to order

Mushroom mycelium is a fresh product and you will get the best results if the mycelium is as fresh as possible upon arrival.

Because of this we make all products containing mushroom mycelium to order.

The normal lead time of most products containing mycelium is 2-3 weeks.

The mycelium need some time to ”take over” or colonize the growth substrate once they have been manufactored.

Otherwise there is a risk that the mycelium would not be strong enough to survive the shipping process.
