Vegan mushroom steak
Did you know that you can make "steak" by using mushrooms?
This recipe tells you how. The steaks turn our surprisingly meat like.
500 g Elm oyster mushrooms
Salt & Pepper
Warm up the pan and add oil.
Add a big cluster of oyster mushrooms.
Put a weight on top of the mushrooms to compress them.
Cook for around 6 minutes then flip the mushrooms.
Cook on the other side for an additional 3 minutes.
Put the mushrooms on a plate and let cool down.
Season with salt and pepper and massage in your favorite BBQ sauce on both side of the steak.
Let marinate in the fridge for 2-3 hours.
Put in oven at 250 ° C for around 25 minutes. Flip halfway through.
Serve and enjoy!
The steak can for example be served with potato wedges or oven fried vegetables.
